Life Of Meaning

The Last Lecture is an emotional and motivational read that highlights the role of the student-professor relationship in personal development. In his talk, Randy Pausch has merged the humor, inspiration, and intelligence that made his lecture such a phenomenon and disposed it an indelible form.

Randy was able to achieve many of his childhood dreams because he has overcome the brick wall. He was accepting feedback and willing to learn from mistakes. He had colleagues, good friends, and mentors to help along the way.

I think that dreaming is important. Dreams is the header to lead us to the direction we want to be to know if that is what we want to do. When we are motivate and excited about pursuing our dreams, we will attract other people who have the same values and interests. The more we surround with high achievers, the further we will go. Then, when times get tough, and it's hard to keep going, our friends will motivate us to continue achieving.

One of my childhood dreams is to become a pilot or at least hold a professional license. I believe that I can attain that dream because as if I follow the principle of accomplishing dreams, I surround myself already with all my pilot's friends and instructors. I know that accepting failure and learning from it will make me more stronger to push me forward.

Entrepreneur Journal

It's making a little bit nervous about starting an Entrepreneur Journal because it's new to me. Escpecially when it comes to organizing sections, where I can put insights and keep track of all information recorded to help me improve troughout my entrepreneurial journey.

The thing I have enjoyed learning this week is from the book "Startup of You". I have always thought about running my own business. It was very challenging for me because there's a lack of confidence. My very first idea idea was to provide electricity in small remote town that thousand of people used to travel every week. I could not meet my expectation yet. As stated in Reid Hoffman book that we might not be the greatest hospitality in the world, just in our own little area. I have learned that as an entrepreneur we have to invest in ourself to be more competitive but regarding the environment to play in. I have to know how many people are actually doing the same business as me in town and then analyze the demand of customers according to the market too. However, picking a market niche where I am better than the competition is the key to make me a successful entrepreneur.

I liked also learning about creating connection because network matters the most for an entrepreneur. It allows us to associate experiences, deals, help from others. Having the right linking can improve our relationship and our reputation on customers depending to the services we provide them.
